Roasted cauliflower dinner was excellent.
My HR Director took me here for lunch. My first impression was the Host staff was quite rude but I chucked it up to Covid 19. We went back to the vehicle to wait to get called. We got in quickly. We both had the crab cake and Thai slaw. It was delicious. I never thought I would eat the slaw. I would highly recommend this restaurant but watch out for the cranky hostess.
Great meatloaf, hearty portions
First time here which is a shame because we've been missing out. Food was great, portions for the kids meals were excellent. Service was fast and friendly. Only down side was I had to work later and I couldn't sample any of the craft beers listed 😭. We will be back!
I was unaware that I may need to make reservations in this part of the country. Do so if you wish to eat inside. That being said.... the place was packed and the food was quite nice. The menu is small... I appreciate that.
Called to set a reservation and was told 45 min to an hr. We arrived 50min later after driving from kingston to be told that it would be another 30 to 45 min. After waiting 15 min I decided to take my family elsewhere and when I asked them to take me off the list I saw that 2 parties who made reservations after me had already been seated. I feel the customer service is poor and that they need to accurately quote wait times and sit parties in order according to the reservation list.
The food and service are always good. We really enjoy eating here. They even have vegetarian options.
Always excellent food,great service.
This place has amazing food and great service. Their desserts are incredible. My favorite is the buckeye cheesecake for desert and the American burger (not the full name) for my Main (entree).
Everything is so good. My experience has always been excellent. Love the salmon- do miss the risotto with citrus sauce though.
Just had a staff meeting catered by R Kitchen. The portions were plentiful. The meal was perfect (meatloaf, mashed potatoes and peas with red velvet cake for dessert). We love supporting local business.
Got in on New year's eve without to much of a wait. The food was great!
You're wasting your money if you eat anywhere else. This is the highest quality restaurant in town. Service is top notch and the food is even better.
Excellent fresh food. The service was excellent. I highly recommend. I had some of the best fish I've ever had. It was battered and crispy. The batter wasn't thick and gross like with most places. Perfect! I will most definitely be back.
R Kitchen is a local treasure! This place has the seldom found dual quality of being both cool and trendy while also still having a vintage small town feel. The menu contains unique twists on traditional favorites like the Wedge Salad, but also newer items like the Thai Tuna Salad and Chicken and Waffles. Put this together with great service and you have a winning combination!
Outstanding staff, drinks, food and ambiance!! ⭐️
Great service, fantastic food! Truly made-in-house gourmet cooking. I had the spicy aha tuna over greens and the cauliflower soup. Perfection! Lovely, perfectly seasoned soup. Spicy, delicious salad. Opted for dessert since dinner was so good. Got the house version of banana pudding - WOW! Everything showed attention to details and a chef with a delightful palate. No pictures - sorry!
Josh is da bomb. Food is par excellence. Pricey but incredible!!
Always a favorite!! I love that this place is on the smaller side, which in my opinion make the quality of food better. Love the atmosphere, decor and exposed brick!! If you're wanting comfort food a must try is the Meatloaf Stack! Creme Brulee was amazing!!
This is a nice place. We had the chicken (yummy) and ribeye steak with Blu cheese butter. The Blu cheese overwhelmed my taste buds. Next time, I'll ask for it on the side. I will be back!
Our first time here. This is a great addition to historic Chillicothe. Love the old building that had been lovingly restored. Food and service were excellent!
So relaxing, the food was spectacular
Great service and really good food. Only major negative is a lack of hot water in the restrooms.
Visited while in town seeing family. Food was great, nice atmosphere. The way I heard the owner speaking to an employee... unacceptable. Won’t be around long operating like that! Good luck!
Great dinner with family. Meatloaf stack is the best!
We have stopped here a couple times and been very please both times. The burgers are to die for. The others had fantastic meatloaf or a fish sandwich. I had the Inferno Burger. Several types of hot chilies were on the burger along with ghost pepper cheese. I was definitely “Hot Stuff” with beads of sweat included, however, it was not overwhelming as I believe Buffalo Wings are hotter. The fries are super good on the side of the sammies. If in the area, they have fantastic happy hour food deals.
Great food!!!! Had a little bit of everyone’s plate and oh man there wasn’t anything cooked wrong. Staff was great also.
Never have had a bad meal here. Upscale comfort food done perfectly! The chicken and waffles is the best you will find anywhere!
Amazing atmosphere and consistently delicious food!
My new favorite place for date night! The hummus was best I've ever had!
Great food and it won't break the bank!
Creative flavorful dishes. Some of the best restaurant meals I have had period. If you're in Chillicothe you owe it to yourself to eat here.
I brought my 90 yr old mother for a nice meal. Food was ok, not worth the price. When I asked for a booth, the person seating said we only give booths to those with reservations.. fair enough... however I watch 2 couples come in without reservations and get seated in booths. Won't be back. Don't appreciate liars
this place is not a diner, not a formal restaurant, but something in between. The chicken I had was wonderfully moist and seasoned perfectly. the hubby had steak and potatoes. We had a few drinks but we were too full for dessert. There are not a ton of menu choices but 3verything looked good.
We’ve been to this place quite a few times and we are never disappointed. The food is consistent and yummy and the staff is friendly and takes good care of you! Probably one of my favorites in town.
Great food and service. The crab cake appetizers were delicious. Overall a great dining experience!
Good food and service.
What's a guy gotta do to get a steak in this town?!The food is usually pretty good at R Kitchen but the day before yesterday I was charged almost $35 'market price' for a 14 oz. plate of "medium rare" steak that was completely charred black on the outside with a side of peas and fries...didn't tell me the price until we got the bill, was on a schedule and didn't have time to wait around on a new steak to be prepared properly or to protest the ridiculously poor quality of preparation...very highly disappointed but not at all surprised as ruined steak seems par for the course judging by my other steak experiences here in Chillicothe.
Great food great people
Very nice decor and great menu
Delicious homestyle dishes in large portions that will accommodate the most hungry appetite - Phenomenal desserts
This is fine dining at its finest. The food was wonderful and beautiful. The staff treated me like a King.
R Kitchen has a wonderful atmosphere. The bartenders and wait staff are always pleasant and timely. My wife and I travel quite frequently and enjoy eating at unique restaurants. We have given the R Kitchen 4 chances now and will not be back. The food has never blown me away. I have never left there with an overall satisfaction. Between my wife and I we have tried over 8 items on the menu and everytime we leave semi to extremely disappointed. My biggest complaint is with the drink prices. I ordered a double of Four Roses Small Batch on the rocks. The pour was light and they charged $24 for the drink. The entire bottle costs only $33 at a local liquor store. That is absurd and absolutely ridiculous. Easily the most expensive in town. Do yourself a favor and go to the Pour House or Old Canal
One of the best meals I’ve had out in a very long time. The crab cakes and yum yum sauce were such a delightful combination. My husband had the special which was a filet with morel mushroom sauce. It was perfectly cooked. This was our second time there and we will definitely be back.
Had lunch with my daughter here. Excellent food. A tad on the pricey side, but the food justifies it. Service was good. Would love to go back and try the dinner menu sometime.
Fun place to visit!Food is amazing!
Steak was overpriced, they dont even tell you how much it is on the menu. but it has quality service and gets your food to you quicker than I expected
Fresh, excellent food. Had the tomato soup and house salad.
Loved this place. Had great drinks and a great dinner. Service was first rate too.
Quaint, with a nice staff. Appetizers were delicious.
